What Are Peptides In Skin Care And Why Do You Need Them?

HydroPeptide® Ultra Rich Moisturizer Review

What are peptides in skin care and why do you need them?

If you’re looking for the best anti-aging skin care ingredients, peptides are ones that you want in your skin care regimen. Peptides are made up of amino acids which skin care labs can manipulate to carry beneficial skin care ingredients deep into your skin. That means active ingredients will penetrate your skin to do their work.

HydroPeptide® is a company that specializes in peptides for all skin types.

“With over 60 peptides, antioxidant rich botanical stem cells, growth factors and hyaluronic acid, our award-winning daily care and professional collections offer targeted customizable results-driven regimens for all skin types.”

So there is something for everybody! I decided to purchase their Power Lift Moisturizer, an advanced ultra rich moisturizer that targets the signs of aging.

The “Anti-gravity peptide”

My prayers have been answered. One of the many peptides in the Power Lift Moisturizer is the Hexapeptide-10 they call the “anti-gravity peptide”. It’s a skin tightening collagen peptide that helps to stimulate your own collagen.

My favorite is the Neurotransmitter-Blocking Peptide called Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate (DDBD for short). This peptide mimics the effect of a peptide found in the venom of the Temple Viper..yes snake venom! It causes the facial muscles to relax, thus reducing fine lines and wrinkles. I’m all in.

There are also numerous antioxidants, collagen boosters and skin brighteners to make it nearly the perfect anti-aging cream. Boldly going where most middle-aged women will go, I tried the pseudo-botox, celestial moisturizer with high hopes.

After three weeks of using the Power Lift Moisturizer, I have to say my skin did feel smoother and looked brighter. The big result for me was that my skin felt more toned and the fine lines on my neck and forehead were definitely reduced.

Six weeks is the promised result

According to HydroPeptide’s website it takes six weeks to do the job. Click here for before and after pictures. So I will post an update after using it for the full six weeks with some before and after pictures of my own so you all can see my results!

To infinity and beyond!

Disclaimer: I purchased the moisturizer specifically for review purposes. I did not receive it complimentary.
